About
d'Arenberg is a family-owned McLaren Vale winery established in 1912, and since 2016 all estate and leased vineyards have held NASAA certification for organic and biodynamic processes — making d'Arenberg Australia's largest certified biodynamic wine grape grower. The vineyards are farmed with no herbicide, no synthetic fertiliser and minimal irrigation, and all wines are basket-pressed with red ferments still foot-trodden in the original 1927 concrete open fermenters. The striking five-level Cube building at 58 Osborn Road is open daily 10:30am–4:30pm for tastings ($20 entry, redeemable on purchase), d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant and the Alternate Realities Museum — featuring 25 original Salvador Dalí bronzes — plus a popular Blending Bench experience where visitors craft their own labelled bottle.
