About

Springs Road Kangaroo Island is a certified organic vineyard situated about 7km west of Kingscote on Springs Road, in the northern part of Kangaroo Island. The property was originally established in 1994 and purchased in 2016 by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith — the team behind the well-regarded Battle of Bosworth label in McLaren Vale. Approximately 25 acres are planted to Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay in low-fertility, low-rainfall soils with a moderate maritime climate that produces low-yielding vines with highly concentrated, intensely flavoured fruit. The full Springs Road range is certified organic and vegan, with the first wines released in 2018. The vineyard honours the same organic philosophy that guides all Bosworth Wines labels.
