Moorilla is one of Tasmania's most famous wine estates, set on the Berriedale peninsula on the River Derwent just north of Hobart, and home to David Walsh's Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). Wine has been made here for decades, making it one of the state's longstanding producers.
The wines span the European-leaning Muse range, the fresher, fruit-driven Praxis range and the artisanal Cloth Label series. A visit pairs cellar door tastings with the museum, dining and a striking riverside setting.
On site: the cellar door sits within the MONA precinct on the River Derwent, with tastings, dining and the museum. A short trip north of central Hobart, reachable by road or the MONA ferry.
