Mermerus Vineyard is a small, well-regarded estate on the Bellarine Peninsula, at 60 Soho Road, Drysdale in the Geelong wine region. First planted in 1996, the vineyard produces handmade Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Shiraz suited to the cool maritime climate. While not formally certified organic, the team uses sulphur and copper-based organic vineyard sprays, deploys a flock of Southdown sheep for natural weed control, and applies wild yeast fermentation and hand-picking in small lots — keeping intervention minimal from vine to bottle.
Mermerus is not formally certified organic, but follows low-intervention practices: organic sulphur and copper sprays, no synthetic herbicides, and Southdown sheep for natural weed control.
The vineyard produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Shiraz. The cool maritime climate of the Bellarine Peninsula suits all three cool-climate varieties.
Mermerus is at 60 Soho Road, Drysdale VIC 3222, on the Bellarine Peninsula within the broader Geelong wine region of Victoria.
