Magpie Springs is a unique estate at 1870 Brookman Road, Willunga Hill — the southernmost cellar door in the Adelaide Hills wine region, just seven minutes from Willunga and twelve minutes from McLaren Vale. The property grows seven varieties of estate vines and produces small-batch, handcrafted wines sold exclusively on-site. Equally distinctive is the integrated art gallery showcasing works by Adelaide-based artist Avril Thomas, set within rustic character-filled buildings surrounded by sprawling vineyards and gardens. Beyond wine, the venue offers Paint & Sip classes, Plein Air painting sessions and event spaces for weddings and celebrations. The cellar door is open Saturday and Sunday, 11am–5pm, with extended hours on public holidays; a Wine Tasting Experience package is available by booking. Note: no organic or biodynamic certification is listed on the winery’s website.
