Lanes End Vineyard is a cool-climate estate situated on the southeastern foothills of Mt William, north-east of Lancefield in Victoria's Macedon Ranges. Planted in the mid-1980s, the vineyard produces hand-crafted Chardonnay (both barrel-fermented and unoaked), Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Rosé using traditional Burgundian and contemporary techniques. The farming philosophy centres on bioecological practices that build soil health through natural soil microbes and organic carbon, with no synthetic chemicals or fertilisers used. Tastings are available by appointment, and the vineyard opens to the public mid-November for the Macedon Ranges Wine and Food Festival.
