Dormilona is the Margaret River natural wine project of Josephine Perry — Young Gun of Wine 2016 winner and one of Australia's most respected small-producer winemakers. Founded in 2012, Dormilona sources fruit exclusively from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards across Margaret River and the Swan Valley, then makes wine with minimal intervention: native-yeast ferments, no fining, and a deliberate slow hand that lets each variety express itself. The range spans Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Shiraz across three tiers — the classic Estate wines, the terracotta-amphora Clayface range, and a playful House Wines collection featuring pét-nat and skin-contact styles. The name translates to "Lazy Bones" in Spanish, a nod to Jo's habit of falling asleep at long Spanish dinner tables after early-morning surf sessions in Margaret River.
Dormilona uses only fruit from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards and works towards certified biodynamic status, though winery-level certification is not yet confirmed. No synthetic inputs are used.
The range includes Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Shiraz, produced across three tiers: Estate, the terracotta-amphora Clayface range, and the playful House Wines collection (including pét-nat).
