Benjella is a small, family-run winery nestled in the Kiewa Valley of North East Victoria, about 22 km from Mt Beauty. Vines were planted from 2003 and the first vintage released in 2007, producing around 800 cases per year of Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The vineyard is farmed without pesticides, using only biological inputs such as Nutrisoil and Seasol — a genuine spray-free approach to sustainable viticulture, though not formally certified organic.
Benjella grows four single-vineyard varieties: Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, all sourced from the estate in Mongans Bridge.
Benjella is not formally certified organic, but the vineyard is farmed without pesticides using only biological products — a spray-free, sustainable approach to viticulture.
The vineyard is at 181 Hobbs Lane, Mongans Bridge VIC 3691, in the Kiewa Valley of North East Victoria, approximately 22 km from Mt Beauty.
