Alkina Wine Estate is a certified organic and biodynamic 60-hectare property in Greenock, on the north-western edge of the Barossa Valley, established in 2015 by Argentinian vintner Alejandro Bulgheroni. Working with renowned winemaking consultant Alberto Antonini and Chilean terroir specialist Pedro Parra, Alkina became the first Australian winery to undertake detailed micro-terroir mapping — identifying over 50 distinct soil and rock-type parcels across its vineyard. The estate's 43 hectares of vines are planted to Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro and Semillon, including old vines dating from the 1950s, and sit on the traditional lands of the Ngadjuri people. The tasting room at 41 Victor Road is open Thursday to Monday (11am–5pm, Sunday to 4pm) and on-estate accommodation is available for an extended stay.
